The Ventspils Limited Liability Company "VIA" has been founded on 17 September 1991. The enterprise has been founded in order to invest in the national economy of the Republic of Latvia through the efficient implementation commercial activities, to actively participate in international scientific technical and economical cooperation, as well as to ensure the satisfaction of the material and cultural needs of the Founders.

The Limited Liability Company "VIA" has been registered in the Register of Enterprises of the Republic of Latvia on 30 September 1991. On 19 March 2003, the enterprise has been registered in the Commercial register under the new name: Limited Liability Company "VIA".

The main spheres of activities of the enterprise are various construction, engineering and technical works, as well as installation. The enterprise mainly works in the sphere of road construction.

The Limited Liability Company "VIA" mainly works in the sphere of road construction, as well as produces the materials necessary for road construction. The enterprise constructs roads throughout Latvia. The asphalt-concrete plant, which belongs to the enterprise, as well as the inorganic material production base - which provide the enterprise with raw materials for  road construction in Kurzeme region - operate in Ugāle parish, in Ventspils district. In other regions of Latvia, the enterprise purchases all the raw materials, which are necessary for production needs, from other enterprises.
